Risk diversification methods

We will consider in more detail risk management methods as risk diversification methods.

Risk diversification methods consist in distribution of the general risk and are subdivided on:

  • distribution of responsibility between project participants is necessary at job sharing between project participants accurately to differentiate fields of activity and responsibility of each participant, and also to another and legally it to enshrine conditions of transition of works and responsibility from one participant in agreements. There should not be stages, transactions or works with indistinct or ambiguous responsibility;
  • diversification of types of activity and zones of managing this increase in number of the applied technologies, increasing the product range or the rendered services, orientation to various social customer groups, to the enterprises of various regions;
  • diversification of sale and deliveries, i.e. work at the same time in several markets when losses in one market, can be compensated by progress in other markets, supply distribution between many consumers, seeking for uniform distribution of shares of each contractor. Also we can diversify purchase of raw materials and materials that assumes interaction with many suppliers, allowing to weaken dependence of the enterprise on its "environment". At violation of deliveries for various reasons the enterprise without serious consequences will be able will switch to work with other supplier of a similar product;
  • the investment diversification is a preference of implementation of several projects, rather small on attachments, than implementation of one large investment project demanding to involve all resources and reserves of the enterprise without leaving opportunities for maneuver;
  • distribution of risk in time (on work stages), i.e. it is necessary to distribute and fix risk in time at project implementation. It improves observability and controllability of stages of the project and allows to adjust them if necessary rather easily.
